Belinda Dogbatse is a teacher by profession and also works with the Osu Library Fund.
She holds a B.A degree in Psychology/ Linguistics from the University of Ghana Legon.
Belinda has a passion for working with girls. She believes that girls can make informed choices and excel in diverse fields given the right opportunity.
Being in the classroom exposed her to various challenges of the girl child which reinforced her passion to work with the Girls Excellence Movement (GEM) for 5 years and counting.
She volunteers for GEM as a mentor and teaches the girls about managing peer influence which falls under the GEM teaching module “The purpose driven girl” and also talks to the girls about personal and menstrual hygiene management under “The Healthy girl Module”
She is motivated by the opportunity she has to interact with girls on outreach. The name (GEM Bel) serves as reminder for GEMs duty call to Awaken womanhood one girl at a time.
